The gift of
memories is a precious gift. What better way to tell a person you
love them than by giving them the gift of sweet memories.
Whether the memories are of a lost loved one, of a child's wonderful
youth, or of a hobby like marathon running, a Memory Quilt is sure to
show how much a person is loved.
Graduation quilts are in high demand. Currently I have 23 quilts on
my schedule. My shop is busy every day preserving your most cherished
memories.
If you are interested in a Memory Quilt for any occasion, please
contact me ASAP so I can add you to the list. Now is the time to
order grad quilts. Quilts are now taking 16-20 weeks.
At MQBM you have choices! Six styles of Memory Quilts are made! Three
will be highlighted in this newsletter, three in the March
newsletter. If you can't wait and need to see them all, simply click here.

A Modern
style Memorial Quilt for a special mom in honor of her husband.
Nothing says "I love you" like a quilt made to comfort and
honor a loved one. Click here for

The Modern
style quilt is very popular! Currently many extra-long twin size
quilts are being ordered for those lucky graduates going off to
college! This size is perfect for a dorm bed.

The Block
style quilt is perfect for people who do not have many t-shirts but
have lots of other garments like cotton button down shirts, flannel
pants, and even light weight jeans. I have made several of these this
past month.

The
traditional style with premium friendship star is perfect for shirts
that have large logos, and for people who like a traditional quilt
look. The friendship star has been around since the
1700's!

As you can see this Block lap Quilt contains very few
t-shirts. The ones that were used have small graphics in order to fit
in the small blocks. Cotton button down shirts, flannel pants,
and flannel shirts were used in this gorgeous quilt.

Twins!
Memory quilts are very popular with twins. I have made 7 sets of twin
quilts over the past few years. I am always amazed at the
similarities yet differences in them! Here are two quilts made for a
set of twins! Shown below are the twins and also their sweet dog,
Coral, who passed away. The red dog block is in honor of Coral.
Both quilts contain baby blankets and even glow in the dark Halloween
costumes! Kudos to the mom for saving these precious items.
Special thanks to the Morgan Log House for allowing me to take these
pictures!

Karate Belt Pillows!
MQBM received a large bag of Karate belts and was asked to add them
to three Memory Quilts. Sadly, the Karate belts are just too
thick to be added to a Memory Quilt. So, we did the next best
thing: the belts were weaved into a pillow! Such amazing results!
Each pillow was backed with a super soft fleece!

Now that's a wonderful way to re-purpose all of those
Karate belts just gathered in a bag!
