Start Collecting Now!
Buy Two Shirts Whenever You Can
If you
haven't already, now is the time to begin your t-shirt collection for
your next Memory Quilt! Many of my clients comment about how
difficult it is to actually take the shirts from their son or
daughter. They simply don't want to part with the shirts! A solution:
buy 2 shirts each time you have the opportunity, one for them and one
for the quilt! That way there is no hassle. Remember to store
them in a bin where you won't forget them!
If you are interested in a
Memory Quilt, please contact me ASAP. Quilts are taking about
12-14 weeks due to the amount on my schedule. Enjoy the
holiday!
Sincerely,
Molly Fisher

Applique and Embroidery!
Are two
techniques that are used to make Memory Quilts extra
special. Applique is a sewing technique used when sewing
additional logos, sports or boys scout patches, or even photos onto
the larger blocks that make up a quilt. I have even appliqued
Christmas stockings!
Names, dates or best wishes sentiments can be embroidered onto a
quilt too. The quilt pictured above has: "Best Wishes,
Kristen June 12 , 2013" embroidered onto a block.
I placed it on the diagonal to give it extra pop!

A Block Style Quilt
This
Memorial Lap Quilt was made using the block style. This style is a
mix of the traditional and the modern style. The yellow
sashing is perfect for this quilt. It was backed with super soft
olive green flannel.

Caring For Your Quilt
I always
encourage my clients to use their Memory Quilts. They were
handmade for the client or their loved one, so by all means, use
these quilts! I want you to wrap yourself in your
memories-literally!
A page has been added to my website that explains how to care,
clean, and store a quilt. Please check it out:

Another Graduation Quilt
Filled
with Towamencin Baseball, North Penn, and Penn State shirts! I even
appliqued a Pennfield JV soccer letter on! This quilt not only
looks at the past but also looks ahead to the bright future that
Penn State will offer this special graduate.

Christmas in July!
I had the
privilege of working on my first Christmas Quilt. It was a
Memorial Quilt made for the Ker family. It was made in honor of
their wife and mother, Sheila. Sheila loved Christmas!
Special green and red plaid Christmas fabric was used for the
sashing and bright red fabric was used for the premium friendship
star in this full size quilt that measures 85" by 95".
Three special stockings were appliqued onto the quilt making it
truly unique! The quilt was backed in a beautiful poinsettia fabric
and finished off with a bright green binding.
Believe it or not, I have 6 quilts on my schedule for Christmas
delivery. If you are interested in a quilt for the holidays,
please contact me ASAP. I want to make sure I can fill all of
the holiday orders, so planning is essential!

The Brighter the Better!
I always
recommend that clients try to find and collect the brightest shirts
possible. Tie dye shirts work wonderfully in these quilts as do
neon colored shirts. The neon pink in the Pink Floyd shirt
and the different tie dye shirts make this full size, modern style
quilt really stand out. It was backed in kelly green cotton
fabric- this is one of my favorite graduation quilts this year!

A Traditional Style Quilt
This
traditional style lap quilt was made in honor of my client's
mother. I even added her favorite sweaters and sweatshirts! I love
the paisley blue and yellow premium friendship star sashing. It was
backed with a beautiful slate blue cotton fabric.

I was thrilled to celebrate Memory Quilts by Molly's

been very exciting! I am hopeful that the next two will be
just as exciting!
Thank you so much for all the support you have shown me over the
past two years. I hope to share many more quilts with you in
the years to come! Stay tuned!
Happy 4th of July!
