Greetings Friends,
Happy Valentines Day!
In this newsletter I thought it might be fun to highlight three RED
quilts in honor of Valentines Day! I have made many quilts these past 2
years, but for some reason the red quilts seem to stand out. I hope
you enjoy the highlights.
If you are interested in a quilt, please contact me ASAP so that I can
get you on the schedule. These quilts take 6-8 weeks to make. I have 14
on my schedule, so if you are interested in one, please contact my ASAP.
On this Valentines Day may you all feel the love of your family and
friends, and have a Memory Quilt, filled with loving memories, wrapped
around you!
Sincerely,
Molly Fisher

This traditional style, queen
size quilt contains 50 t-shirts and measures 90" by 108". It was backed
in a vibrant red cotton fabric and a deep red fabric was used for the
friendship stars!

|
The Friendship Star
This traditional style quilt is made even more dramatic when the
friendship star is added to the sashing. The friendship star has been
around since the 1700's and looks wonderful in these quilts.

|
|
Woodland Celebrity!
This modern style, lap quilt contains 25 rather colorful t-shirts! It
measures 68" by 73" and was backed with super soft red flannel. The
bright reds really make this quilt stand out!

|
Play Ball!
The vibrant red, purple, and teal colored flannel seen on the right was
used as the backing for this wonderful Modern style lap quilt, seen on
the left, that I recently made for an aspiring young softball player.

Special Items for Memory Quilts
Last month I reminded you to save your children's adorable cotton bed
sheets! This month I encourage you to save those high school varsity
letters, jackets, and sweaters that athletes are awarded. The letters
shown in the picture are from South Kingston High School in Rhode
Island. I appliqued them onto a block in the quilt.
|
|
|
This Block style, lap quilt was made extra special when I appliqued the
man's favorite pair of suspenders onto a block. Please remember to
save suspenders too!
I just love the way the varsity letters and the suspenders look in both of these very special Memorial Quilts!

|
|
The Block style, lap quilt on
the left was made with many cotton, button down shirts. I included the
shirt pocket in many of these blocks! The traditional style, lap quilt
on the right included Hawaiian shirts, and Toby Keith concert t-shirts!

Feeling the Love......
Recently I received 2 emails, from satisfied customers, that included
pictures of their quilts in their homes. It is so wonderful to know that
the quilts are being used and loved. Receiving these pictures was so
nice!
Feel free to email me your photos at: immfish@comcast.net
Also, I have noticed that at least 3 of my customers have added my
quilt photos to their cover pages on facebook. I am so grateful that
they appreciate my quilts enough to do this.
I really do feel the love! Thank you!
