Welcome to Memory Quilts by Molly

Memory Quilts tell beautiful stories through fabric. This quilt tells a wonderful story of North Penn Softball!  The colors highlighted in the quilt are NP Softball colors-blue and black!  Add a few Odyssey of the Mind memories,  AAU softball tournament memories, and of course some Philadelphia Phillies and Flyer memories and you have a beautiful work of art!  So many shirts and so many memories. This traditional style extra-long twin size quilt went to York college with this lucky graduate.  Play Ball!

Quilt Updates:
May will be a very busy month here at MQBM.  Graduation quilts are in full swing.  Currently, there are 26 quilts in the queue, 24 are for graduation. Quilts are taking about 12-16 weeks to make. If you are  interested in a Memory Quilt, or t-shirt quilt, for any occasion, please contact me so I can get you on the schedule. These quilts really do tell stories through fabric.  Many memorable garments were added to quilts this month, like Boy Scout handkerchiefs, beautiful baby blankets, Christening hats, a  bathing suit and even a Girl Scout vest from 1973!  Here are some other  creative quilts in the works:
  • An Art to Remember Quilt filled with precious art work from Kindergarten through 6th grade
  • An Eagle Scout Quilt, neckerchiefs and all!
  • a queen size custom quilt , plus two baby quilts, made with homemade flannel nightgowns and flannel pants that were gifts throughout the years!
  • graduation quilts galore!
  • Karate quilts and pillows made with Karate belts
  • A wrestling Quilt
  • A full size quilt made with soccer shirts
  • North Penn swimming and baseball Quilts
  • 2 Harley Davidson Quilts made with awesome t-shirts
  • Quilt made from antique handkerchiefs
  • many memorial quilts that honor those we have lost
Memory Quilts by Molly is featured in the Quilt it...today Magazine

Hot off the Press!

I just received the Quilt-it...today Magazine. The magazine featured two of my custom quilts on page 26 and 27 of the magazine. I am so very thankful that my work was included in the article!
Sadly, the magazine isn't online, I guess they want you to go buy a  copy ;)

A baby Quilt made with baby's first year adorable outfits and a Hankie Quilt made for a bride-to-be with her great grand moms hankies were highlighted in the article!

  • long sleeve and short sleeve knit shirts,
  • golf shirts
  • men's or women's bathing suits
  • long sleeve, cotton, button down shirts
  • sweat shirts
  • flannel or fleece pants
  • all baby clothing
  • ties and handkerchiefs
  • cotton bed sheets
  • high school varsity letters, jacket or sweaters
  • suspenders and aprons
  • boy scout badges
  • girl scout badges
  • baseball patches
  • canvas bags with nice logos on them
  • beach towels
One-of-a-kind Gift:
Memory quilts, or t-shirts quilts, are truly one-of-a-kind gifts! My quilts are premium, handmade quilts that are made using only the best fabric, interfacing, thread, batting and backing.   Premium quilting techniques are used in the piecing of the quilt and the long arm quilting. My quilts are also generally larger in size than my competitors.   They make great gifts for:
  • any graduation , whether it be 8th grade graduation, middle school graduation,  high school or college graduation
  • birthdays or weddings
  • Christmas
  • any holiday
  • the completion of a sports program
The possibilities are endless!
